The Hammock Lakes West neighborhood in the city of West Melbourne provides some great entertainment options. The neighborhood is comprised mostly of single-family homes with a few condos, townhome,s and apartment developments scattered throughout. There are also several parks that provide plenty for kids to do during their free time or if they need something fun to do on rainy days!
-Buckhead Branch Park: A favorite among children because there are two playgrounds one geared towards younger kids while the other has bigger equipment that older children will enjoy playing on. It’s also home to basketball courts (with lights!), picnic tables, BBQ grills, and restroom facilities for families who want an outdoor experience without having to leave the neighborhood. One thing parents might not be aware of is that it’s also a popular fishing spot, so if your children like to fish this might be the perfect place for them.
-Hammock Lakes Park: This park offers plenty of open space with soccer and football fields as well as two playgrounds. It has to picnic tables but no BBQ grills or restrooms available on site which could make it difficult to stay long periods of time without having to leave the neighborhood again.
-Mallard Creek Preserve: The Hammock Lakes West neighborhood in JUNO Florida provides access to Mallard Creek preserve via Pettit Road where you’ll find miles of trails through wetlands, marshes, forests, and other natural habitats! A great way for kids who love being outdoors exploring nature while also getting a workout.
