Southridge is located in southern Denton, just south of Loop 288. The neighborhood was developed from the 1970s through most of the 1980s and has a low-density residential housing mix with some retail establishments along South Valley Drive.
The Denton City Council conducted an extensive survey to see what residents want out of their neighborhood parks. They were not happy with the current green space situation or playground equipment at all so they have requested $400,000 be allocated for new park equipment by 2020.
