South Tampa is the area south of Downtown and west of I-275. The neighborhood boasts an artsy feel with plenty of eclectic restaurants, shops, bars, and coffee houses amid historic bungalows that line shady streets.
It’s a vibrant part of town where you can often find musicians playing on their porches or just in the street corner at one end to another. There are lots of unique neighborhoods within South Tampa – including Hyde Park Village, Ballast Point Artisan District, Palma Ceia, Carrollwood Village– but it’s not so easy to tell them apart because they all have very similar characteristics: walkable streets lined with trees; charming single-family homes built from 1920 onwards; independent cafes serving local fare and a general laid-back vibe.
