San Marco is a neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida. It’s located about three miles from downtown. San Marco was settled by wealthy settlers and plantation owners such as George Emerson Bean in the early 1900s.
The area has an active historic preservation society that maintains several of the old buildings built during this time period. There are also many new construction homes being developed to meet the demand for housing near Downtown Jacksonville FL neighborhoods with easy access to major highways like US 17 and I-295.
