Lido Key is located on the southern end of Sarasota Bay. It was originally planned as an exclusive country club community, but it slowly evolved into a family-oriented neighborhood that became home to many notable residents and celebrities including Ringo Starr.
Lido Key has some of the most expensive waterfront property in town with homes starting from $600K-$800K or more for lots less than an acre all the way up to multimillion dollar estates which span acres. There are currently two golf courses within this small area: The Plantation Course at Lido Beach Club and Oakbrook Golf Course.
