Franklinton is a Columbus, Ohio neighborhood located near the center of Franklin County. The area was first populated with European immigrants in 1814 and was incorporated as part of Columbus on March 30, 1816.
In its early days, residents were primarily involved in agriculture or worked for the railroad industry. Today Franklinton has undergone various revitalization projects that have turned it into an arts district attracting many new businesses to the area.
