The Bayshore neighborhood has a long rich history. The area was once populated by the Tequesta Indians, who settled in this region around 1000 AD. It wasn’t until after World War II that Miami Beach began to develop into what it is today with the construction of hotels and other tourist-related businesses along Ocean Drive.
In the 20th century, Bayshore was considered one of the most beautiful and luxurious neighborhoods in Miami. In fact, it was named “the American Riviera” by acclaimed author John Gunther.
Today Bayshore is the home to many luxury condos, high-rise apartments and multimillion-dollar mansions. The neighborhood is also home to some of the best hotels and restaurants in Miami Beach, including the Trump International Hotel, Eden Roc Renaissance Resort & Spa, Fontainebleau Hilton Miami Beach.
