Sarasota downtown is a charming historic district with tree-lined streets and a waterfront promenade that includes several notable buildings.
The Sarasota County Courthouse, the only public building in Florida designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1926, is home to numerous local government offices as well as an art gallery on its top floor. It also features bronze casts of his Taliesin West sculptures including “The Unwelcome Guest.”
