Baymeadows is a neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida that was originally populated by wealthy families. It’s bordered on the north and west by water from the St. Johns River and to the east, it borders an area of open wetlands known as Baymeadow Swamp Preserve. The neighborhood’s eastern border starts at Interstate 95 across from San Marco Avenue which then continues southward until it reaches Roosevelt Boulevard near Beach Blvd.
The majority of residents live in single-family homes with either one or two stories high for living space, unlike most other areas where multi-story apartment buildings have been built more recently like Riverside or Southpointe while still maintaining its original suburban feel within this historic district of town.
