-The Flytown Parade on July 12th to celebrate the founding of the community. The parade starts at noon and runs down East Long Street through Broad Street ending with an all-day party for everyone who attended including live music, food vendors and more! This event was chosen by USA Today as one of America’s Great Neighborhoods for All.
There are many other annual events happening during this time such as:
*National Day of Service – September 11 from Noon till Midnight; volunteers come together unite commemorating those we have lost while honoring our country’s heroes with food stations coordinated by local churches with music playing throughout the day/night
*A Celebration of Life – September 16 from 12:00 noon to 11pm; this event is raising awareness for the 20,000 people who die a year in Ohio because they don’t have health insurance.
