Annual Events in Franklinton a Neighborhood in Columbus, OH

-The first annual Franklinton Arts Festival is planned for September 30th, 2019. All artists and vendors are welcome to participate! The event will be from noon until sunset on Town Street between East Broad and Third Streets in the heart of Columbus’ arts district.

-Franklinton’s Public Library hosts a special reading series entitled “Best Novels: A Literary Program” – with authors selected by area libraries as best exemplifying literary achievement. Featured Authors include Kate Atkinson, Sandra Cisneros, Kazuo Ishiguro, Cormac McCarthy & Colum McCann among others.

-Franklinton hosts the Neighborhood Day of Service, which is a day to come together and clean up debris on Franklinton’s abandoned lots. The event focuses on bringing people into the neighborhood to care for it by cleaning up trash and littering. It also creates an opportunity for residents in surrounding neighborhoods to learn about Franklinton while getting involved in improving their communities with some physical labor in our fair city!

The first annual Columbus Arts Festival will be held from noon until sunset Saturday September 30th 2019 at East Broad Street between Town & Third Streets and features all artists as well as artisans. Folks are encouraged to spend time browsing artwork, enjoy food trucks or stop by one of several live performances throughout the day including music.
