-June 12th – 15th, 2018 Pointe Of View Photography Exhibition opening reception will take place from 11AM to noon Saturday June 16th at The Arts Center of Venice. Artists include Alex Sabean’s “Lighthouse Dreams” series with subjects ranging from lighthouses around Florida to more obscure structures such as a lighthouse built by Nantucket fishermen who settled near present day St. Petersburg in 1849, and a lighthouse on St. Lucia in the Caribbean.*
-June 25th: July Fourth Celebration at various locations*
-September 22nd – 27th 2018 Sarasota Film Festival will take place during this week from September 23rd to October 28th with screenings of 120 films being shown in 20 venues around town such as The Ringling Museum of Art’s Open Air Theatre, Sarasota Opera House, Circle Cinema Downtown which is located in Casa Monica Hotel & Spa’s gardens or Nickelodeon Theater inside University Mall*
November 12th 2018 Fall Fine Arts Exhibition Opening Reception will be held Saturday October 13th from 11 AM to noon featuring work by over 50 local artists including paintings, sculptures and more.
