One of the most exciting annual events in Brookshire is Heritage Oaks’ Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. The event typically takes place on December 11th at dusk, and includes a tree lighting ceremony with Santa Claus himself! Afterwards, kids are able to enjoy crafts and explore all the different holiday displays while they get their photo taken with Santa. It’s one of those times when you’ll feel right in the middle of a Norman Rockwell painting.

The other big yearly celebration for this neighborhood is during November as part of National Veterans Day Weekend. On Saturday, there will be an American flag raising ceremony followed by remarks from local dignitaries before enjoying lunch together among family and friends where veterans can share stories about what it was like to serve.
The neighborhood has a few other yearly events, such as the Cherry Blossom Festival which occurs in late March and features live music from local bands. There’s also an Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages.
